“The Astronomical New Moon is on May 5, 2008 (Monday) at 12:18 Universal Time or GMT (i.e., 8:18 am EDT, and 5:18 am PDT). It can only be seen with binoculars/telescope in North America, on May 5. It will be visible all over the world except Australia nad New Zealand on May 6, Insha-Allah. In Australia and New Zealand, it will be visible on May 7.”
