Moonsighting for Rabi-al-Awwal 1429

“The Astronomical New Moon is on March 7, 2008 (Friday) at 17:14 Universal Time or GMT (i.e., 12:14 pm EST, and 9:14 am PST). It will not be visible on March 7, anywhere. On March 8, it will be visible all over the world except New Zealand and Australia, Insha-Allah. On March 9, it will be visible in New Zealand and Australia.”

sunset on each of the three or four days following the instant of new
moon given above. Observations, both positive and negative, can be
